In addition to woodworking, I also enjoy creating new things through 3D modeling. These passions first collided while I was enrolled in a hand-tool joinery class and thought that my first hand plane shavings looked a lot like pencil shavings. The idea for my first tool inspired pencil sharpener was born while carrying my bench plane home and I thought
“Hey I could make that!”
The original Bench Plane Pencil Sharpener was such a hit with my classmates, I started sharing them online and have been making them ever since.
Since then, I have also designed a block plane pencil sharpener along with decorative magnets or keychains versions.
